  • Because there have been problems with seeking the right dose of insulin. Over several weeks when nothing seemed to go right the nurse practitioner gave me the confidence to trust in her and nothing was too much trouble with informing me of the why's and wherefores with my treatment and making sure that I understood everything.

  • I have never attended an appointment where I have been seen within half an hour of my appointment time. Every time the wait gets longer and to be honest it is a joke. Sit an hour after appointment time not a single person has gone in or out. Something needs to change drastically

    We constantly review waiting time for patients and I am sorry that you have experienced a delay. The clinicians all try to run on time but unfortunately on occasions patients come with more than one problem which cannot be dealt with in our usual appointment time of 10mins or they may need to discuss a problem that requires additional time and attention. We would encourage all patients to consider one problem per appointment.

  • Since moving to this area and becoming patients attached to this practice my family and extended family have received excellent care for 38 years. At all times we have received very good care and support from Doctors and Nurses and receptionists. We do however prefer to have a consultation in the surgery rather than telephone ones. If we require a consultation we have always had to see the doctor in person and feel that time is wasted with first having a telephone consultation

    Thankyou for your comments which are of great value to the practice. The GP would never consider a telephone consultation a waste of time. The call allows the GP to be prepared if you require examination. It also allows him to organise any tests if required, prior to your face to face appointment. For many patients a face to face appointment is not required and appropriate advice can be given over the telephone.

  • Very good surgery, no complaints apart from the appointment system. However bookable face to face online is great! I did not like the telephone call before appointment system however this has solved it personally for me. Staff always helpful and Gp's actually listen

  • Having spoken to the receptionist I was given a telephone appointment that afternoon with the practice nurse. She arranged a face to face with the doctor the next morning. All staff treated me as though I was the only patient, no rush and complete understanding. The doctor took the time to listen to me and then explained the problem and the treatment. As always I can find no way to improve on your excellent service.

  • Telephone reordering of prescriptions made it easier for people like me who sometimes are unable to leave the house and should be introduced

    For safety reasons telephone requests were withdrawn. Prescriptions can now be ordered online and for those patients who are totally housebound community pharmacists will accept telephone requests and will deliver medication.

  • Everyone is friendly and its more like a little family. Nurses doctors ,secretaries alike . Great little practice

  • To be perfectly honest all members of staff both medical and others treat myself as a patient with the utmost respect and consideration and kindness.No matter what concern or query about health issues or medications they always take time in dealing with the issues and I never feel rushed or as if i'm a nuisance - every credit to them all. Nothing is ever too much trouble to them.

    If you have a problem with your prescription let us know. We will liaise with any pharmacy if you are experiencing any difficulties. Prescriptions can now go electronically to any surgery of your choice. Let us know which pharmacy you prefer and we can arrange this for you.

    The telephone appointments were introduced to enable us to help more patients in a more timely manner. The GP & Nurse practitioner will filter the telephone calls to ensure that if they need to see you face to face you can be seen more quickly, whenever possible on the same day if your problem is urgent. They can give advice or re direct patients who have minor problems to the pharmacy or the nurse for tests prior to a GP appointment. If you feel that you need to see the doctor face to face because you have a problem that you are unhappy discussing on the phone please ask the doctor to make you a face to face appointment.

  • The Doctor and Nurses & Nurse Practitioner are absolutely great. However, my issue is with the employees on reception. I find them extremely unhelpful and abrupt. There are only two that I find pleasant to deal with. Also, I find the system of having to make a telephone appointment very inconvenient.

  • The level of patient/customer service is second to none. I have been through quite a traumatic time in my life and if it wasn't for Dipton Surgery I don't know where I would be

  • Excellent service and support. No complaints at all. Myself and my family have been with the practice for years and think it is fab. The whole team are great.

  • The Doctor refused to listen to me. I have just had an operation and was in severe pain, unable to breathe properly or eat, drink, sleep and I was told I must see him asap by the hospital. When I called the receptionist advised he wouldn't call me back until 5pm that evening. After continuing to ask to speak to him he eventually called after 3 hours. He prescribed me medication I told him I couldn't take due to a previous bad reaction and his response was "well that is all I can give you" and issued them anyway (I obviously did not get the pills). He is a very rude and unhelpful doctor and after fighting for 10 years to get a diagnosis he has just dismissed me.

  • i have no problem getting an appointment when i need one. all of the staff are very helpful and caring and the surgery is very well organised

  • Nursing staff and GP's are fine. I find one particular receptionist to be very sharp and serious in her responses on telephone & face to face. If the welcome by reception was warmer I would have recommended highly likely.

  • Never get to see a gp face to face, telephone appointments formal and its like speaking to a stranger, especially if you have never met the Doctor you are talking to. Other than that the practice in general is good.

  • We did : The practice does not have a regular female GP, however our Nurse Practitioner is highly skilled, she can prescribe and is trained to deal with many aspects of womens health.Please ask for a Nurse Practitioner appointment.
