Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us, I'm glad you found it helpful.

  • I was initially told that I would have input from CMHT. However I only received a online anxiety course to watch on you tube. Also some 1:1 telephone calls and 1 meeting in person with a worker, who wasn’t a RMN or had specific training. All that happened was, I was listened to but not reassured. The person who was supposed to be helping me was listening, then laughing at my comments. Not helping me or able to give any realistic targets or help. I felt completely unsupported. The information that was passed on to the team, was NOT, factual, appropriate or helpful. Based on this information, I was offered Not individual therapy, but Couples therapy, in regard to our relationship… This has NEVER been raised as a concern or issue by myself or my wife. My wife has been 100% supportive of me throughout all of this time. I therefore chose to stop the meetings. I was disappointed by the lack of support, I felt I had received.

  • I walked to the Primery Care Team and found that their staff were absolutely lovely especially was my support worker and was very personal in her approach to my needs and what was going on in my life at that time I was very isolated and I found that there were projects and organisations available to me that I didn’t know about and I would’ve been too afraid to approach Annette help me and support me and going to meetings and meeting people Overall I am now in a lot better place than I was before I had the Primery take Care Team walking with me and Annette

  • Because you don’t listen to what the person who needs help wants until a complaint is made, also I don’t know why I’m getting this survey when I haven’t see anyone yet

  • The staff I spoke to in the service were very nice, I can’t fault their kindness and desire to help which I am very grateful for. However I did find the service didn’t really know how to deal with some of the symptoms/issues I presented with which made me feel like I was very alone with my problems at times. I felt that they were very much used to dealing with people who mostly had anxiety and depression and in terms of help these are the only areas that were really focused on, when really it was other symptoms I was having that troubled me more than ever.

A lot of the things that were suggested to me by the service I was actually already doing and had been for a long time, hence why I came to the service in the first place because I felt there was something very wrong and I had exhausted everything I could on my own - I had already spent many years being proactive in trying to improve my symptoms, however there were problems I felt were way too big for me to manage and I could feel myself at times really slipping towards complete breaking point.

Using the services, I felt as though I was in a bit of limbo where I wasn’t bad enough for one service but had too many ‘complex issues’ for another to be able to help me. There was also a bit of judgement around the fact I had a relationship and a job, without any understanding of the struggles I was actually going through to keep both of these things going. (I was told by one member of staff that I must be coping as I had a job and relationship) I find this statement quite concerning because one of my parents had a job, marriage and children when they had a break down and committed suicide. I was under the impression that I needed to lose absolutely everything to get the correct help, which seems crazy. There should be more preventative measures in place. This left me again feeling very alone with my disturbing symptoms, and this just reinforced my paranoia that I would eventually lose everything and that it’s all my fault I am suffering with these problems because I must be a bad person.

I’m my opinion I think that more needs to be done to help those who work. Juggling work and paying a mortgage while trying to manage mental health issues that seem too big to handle is unbelievably stressful. Those who paint the picture of managing are the ones keeping a huge amount bottled up - that isn’t sustainable long term.

Overall I appreciate the help I did receive and I understand that there is a lot of pressure on services, so I am grateful. Again, I can’t fault how lovely the support worker was I spoke to and it was helpful to speak to someone who had also been through their own struggles as she was very understanding and did offer some helpful advice.

At the moment, I still feel like I have many of the issues I was initially presenting with, and I am still trying to hold things together which worries me. I am hoping that talking therapy will help long term.

    06 Oct 2021

    Our reply

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your thoughts. I will take back to the team in our training sessions to reflect on the points you raise about the stresses of working and trying to manage a mortgage, so we are more aware of this in our practice in the future.

  • It took a long time to get some kind of support, I was lucky enough to have friends around me or I truly believe I would not be here.

    05 Oct 2021

    Our reply

I am sorry to hear you have had to wait for treatment, we are working towards adding resource so we can shorted these waits for people. I do hope you found the support helpful when you received it. Kind regards Zoe Lloyd PCMHT manager

  • The service has let me down. I have now gone through my GP and waiting for another social worker to be assigned to me, as I have learning difficulties.

    28 Jun 2021

    Our reply

We do not have social workers in the team therefore would not be able to offer this service. Social workers can be accessed via Adult social care and a self referral can be done to access this.

  • F2F would have been better at the time as I had just lost my mum.

    28 Jun 2021

    Our reply

Thank you for taking the time to complete the Friends and Family assessment. I'm sorry to hear of your loss, Unfortunately due to covid restrictions we were unable to do face to face. We are now moving back to face to face meetings.

  • ''After 2 years of being on the waiting list, I feel turned away by all the Mental Health Team. They rang me and they told me that it's nothing that they can do and to go back to the GP. ''

    28 Jun 2021

    Our reply

I am unable to comment on your feedback as I do not have details, however I would like to apologise for the way you are feeling and there is a complaints department if you wish to raise this for further investigation.

  • ''I felt a bit abandon at the end. when they finished the therapy. I assume they could establish from the begging what they can do and what they cannot do and the steps that they will follow. ''

    25 Jun 2021

    Our reply

Thank you for your feedback, we have taken note and have now formulated a new letter outlining the teams role and time scales for offering support.

  • Keep F2F, Support workers are with you when you are out and the support that is required at that time, as I felt telephone contact was not for me.

    16 Nov 2020

    Our reply

Unfortunately due to covid restrictions at the time Face to face was not possible.
